Dual & Concurrent Credit Classes

All dual credit courses must be approved by a CCHS Counselor. Not all WNC courses are approved for dual credit. Students taking WNC courses without pre-approval run the risk of not meeting certain graduation requirements. Students are required by WNC to have their counselor sign an "authorization" form.

Current Concurrent Credit Courses (taught at the HS by a HS teacher for both college and HS credit) include:

ENG 101/102 CHEM 100 CHEM 121/122 MATH 95/96 MATH 126/127 ART 151 AGSC 100 /211 AUTO 101 SPAN 111/112

Audit a Class

A student may audit a class by meeting one or more of the following conditions:

  1. Entering school later than three weeks into the semester
  2. Wanting to attempt a more challenging class without jeopardizing their GPA

The student must attend class regularly, turn in all assignments, follow all class rules, and take all examinations. No credit will be given. If the student attempts and passes the final semester exam a "P" and .5 credit may be awarded. If the student attempts and fails the final exam no grade or credit will be awarded.

A student may request changing to an audit status at the end of the first nine weeks of a semester if he or she has a low grade due to lack of ability and not lack of effort.

No grade or credit will be awarded.

THE FINAL DECISION TO ALLOW A STUDENT TO CHANGE TO OR FROM AN AUDIT STATUS RESTS WITH THE PRINCIPAL.
