I am so excited to be part of such a fantastic staff as the principal at Churchill County High School! CCHS is the heart of the community, and our school has amazing community support for all that we offer our students. CCHS has a rich tradition in its Career and Technical Education programs, as well as Advanced Placement offerings. CCHS participates in the JumpStart to College program at Western Nevada College, offers dual enrollment opportunities, and has one of the most robust ROTC programs in the state. For the 2019-2020 school year, CCHS is proud to pilot a project-based learning pilot cohort, which offers yet another opportunity for our students to show their learning in a more personalized, hands-on way. All of these programs allow students to choose a pathway that is engaging and challenging, and will prepare them for 21st century career, college, or military readiness!
I encourage you to explore our school profile, our academics, and all of the activity, athletic, and club offerings, as well as our distance education program. CCHS utilizes SafeVoice to help students feel safe at school, and the entire staff is committed to providing a positive, safe learning environment and culture for all students. Parents can check in on their student’s attendance and grades in real-time from a smartphone by signing up for and using Infinite Campus.
Our students are our #1 priority, but we need parents and guardians to be a part of the team as well! We look forward to meeting and working with you as partners in your student’s success at Churchill County High School!
Go Greenwave!
