Parent Involvement & Volunteering

Welcome to the CCHS Parent Involvement Committee

Parent Involvement Committee - District

The Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) is a group of parents/guardians and community members that meet monthly to discuss upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, organizing and planning of school functions, elementary school literacy and family nights, decorating for special events and assemblies, and creating a welcoming environment in all of our schools. These meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month at 9 a.m. (location varies). This group works closely with the NAS Fallon School Liaison Officer, Churchill County Library, Lahontan Valley News, the Fallon Paiute Shoshone Tribe, the Churchill Community Coalition and many other local organizations. Community collaboration is crucial in keeping our community members and groups active in our School District.

How to Volunteer

At this time, due to social distancing requirements, volunteer opportunities are restricted throughout ChurchillCSD. Families will be notified if any changes are made regarding these temporary restrictions.

Volunteering is easy! Simply contact your child's school and ask for a volunteer form, or download it here! Then, take your completed form and valid ID to the office at your child's school for processing. The school will notify you once your application has been approved. This form is a simple background check that will clear you to be actively involved in your school. Contact your school regularly and let them know when you are free to volunteer. If you would like to volunteer on any district or school committees, let the school principal know or contact the Parent & Community Engagement Coordinator.
